Embedded Software Engineer
Kearfott Corporation is a global Aerospace and Defense supplier with over a century of expertise in precision motion control products and inertial navigation components. The Embedded Software Engineer will be responsible for implementing and testing embedded control software for guidance and navigation products, participating in various phases of software development including design, implementation, and validation.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the implementation and testing of embedded control software to be used within Kearfott’s next generation of guidance and navigation products
Participation in requirements definition, software design and implementation, peer review, software test and validation, and generation of supporting documentation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Strong development skills with C/C++ programming languages
4-10+ years of embedded or control systems programming
Servo controls experience
Programming DSP/microcontrollers
Experience with MPSoC architectures
Experience with debugging strategies for embedded systems including emulators and logic analyzers
Ability to collaborate with a team of engineers and support staff in a laboratory setting
Strong engineering writing and documentation skills
Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
Preferred
Experience with additional programming languages such as Python. Ada knowledge a plus
Real time application design experience
Model based software development using tools such as SCADE, Simulink, MATLAB
Ability to interpret electronics schematics
Experience with inertial navigation concepts
Experience with DO-178C software certification process
Experience with the Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE)
