Responsibilities

A seasoned experienced professional with a full understanding of mechanical engineering resolving a wide range of issues in creative ways
Experience in HVAC, ASHRAE, SMACNA & ACGIH Codes
Building Load Calculation Software Trane Trace or Carrier HAP experience
Duct sizing and pressure drop calculations
HVAC Equipment sizing and specifications, AHU's, DX Units, Chillers, Pumping systems, Cooling Towers, Boilers and Heat exchangers
Broad application of principles, theories and concepts in HVAC and mechanical engineering, plus working knowledge of other related fields
Work with young engineering team members providing oversight and training
Provides resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Development of project design basis, development of specifications, and performance of detailed engineering
Ensures conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards as well as company policies and procedures
May perform in project leadership role and/or may supervise the activities of lower level personnel
Contributes to a team environment. Perform detailed technical analysis of complex project issues
Break complex technical tasks into manageable subtasks
Travel to site locations to provide engineering support, meetings with clients, and meetings at other company offices to support engineering efforts

Required

Requires Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years related experience
Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and technical engineering software, some CADD experience (AutoCAD, REVIT and/or MicroStation) along with good verbal and writing skills
Candidates must be willing to travel for infrequent field assignments
Must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a background check to gain access to government facilities
PE is a requirement
Ability to work independently and in a diverse team setting
Willingness to work across Engineering disciplines
Strong multitasking skills
Strong problem-solving skills
