Engineer Systems Test – Level 4 (25-244)
Northrop Grumman is a leader in technological advancements and offers an opportunity for a Senior Engineer Systems Test to join their Missile Defense Integration team. The role involves supporting the C2BMC program by organizing and performing flight and ground tests, managing test resources, and ensuring successful execution of test events.

Responsibilities
Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software, and specialty engineers to develop solutions using NT or similar processes and methods
Will have a demonstrable ability to develop briefings and convey complex ideas in writing, be comfortable working in a team environment, be a quick learner, a hard worker, and interested in and capable of adapting to changing technology
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills that enable effective collaboration within a small technical team. Additionally, they should be able to accurately communicate test perspectives to C2BMC system architects, software designers, other testers, test support personnel, the Government customer, and personnel from other MDA programs
Excellent communication skills required (both written and oral). Ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings. Capable of writing and implementing engineering plans within a project
Developing data archival and analysis plans, and creating post-mission reports
Managing the configuration and control of test resources, articles, and tools used for data collection during tests
Serving as the I&T liaison to other C2BMC test participants and MDA/BCT test managers
Coordinating with the project leads for various tests to ensure the smooth execution of events across the entire I&T mission
Developing and maintaining the test architecture, including all test articles, and creating additional procedures as needed to ensure successful execution
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's Degree in STEM Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master's degree (preferred) in a STEM-related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or PhD in a related field with 4 years of relevant work experience
Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with the ability to be cleared at SCI
Must understand systems engineering, systems design, and development processes, and logistics principles, including artifact creation
Possess over 7 years of experience in a related engineering environment, with strong expertise in systems-of-systems definition and integration
Ability to analyze high-level needs and, through a structured and logical approach, refine the need into an integrated set of requirements that lead to a deployed product
Ability to lead parts of the activity and supervise fellow engineers
Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software, and specialty engineers to develop solutions using NT or similar processes and methods

Preferred
Experience with network applications and networking concepts is preferred, along with knowledge of military systems used in missile defense, such as: AN/TPY2, SBIRS/BOA, Aegis, THAAD, Patriot, SBX, including its operational features
Experience working with approval boards from other organizations sponsoring such tests (e.g., JIAMDO, AFSPC, JFCC-IMD, etc.) is highly desirable
Having prior experience working with JAT, MDDC, and other related organization
Should also be familiar with the following: Unix command line, Bash, Perl scripting, Linux, Statistics, Technical writing/test procedure creation, Communication/presentation skills, Space/C2BMC/Missile Defense experience, Agile development, Automated testing framework, Requirement and Verification Spreadsheet analysis
Experience with analysis tools: Java software or Python scripting development
Performing post-processing and analyzing collected data both quantitatively and qualitatively
Creating action plans based on data analysis
Documenting software deficiency reports
Presenting analysis results and action plans orally and/or in written format (e.g., slides, annotated slides, test report document)
Experience in Ballistic Missile defense systems is highly desired
