Strategic Account Manager - Enterprise Customer

The Strategic Account Manager – Enterprise Customer will lead the relationship with a high-value enterprise client, ensuring compliance, driving cost-saving initiatives, and coordinating across teams to meet strategic goals.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary brand ambassador and executive-level liaison spanning corporate, regional, and plant stakeholders
Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), strategic planning workshops, executive dashboards, and alignment sessions
Build deep relationships with C-suite, procurement, operations, site leadership, continuous improvement, and engineering teams
Develop and execute a joint strategic roadmap with the customer, aligning on value drivers, cost-reduction goals, process enhancements, and technology integration
Identify upsell/expansion opportunities across product lines, service solutions, process automation, and consulting offerings
Sponsor and guide continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, digital transformation) to drive operational efficiency, waste reduction, and throughput improvements
Facilitate cross-functional teams (sales, supply chain, operations, logistics, quality, IT) to deliver on-site services, vendor-managed inventory (VMI), integrated supply, and site-level logistics programs
Monitor and drive compliance with customer-specific pricing, billing, logistics, fulfillment, and reporting requirements
Lead issue resolution, root cause analysis, corrective/preventative actions, and continuous improvement loops
Maintain a consolidated customer performance dashboard (spend, savings, compliance, service metrics, fault rates, inventory turns), and deliver insights to both customers and internal leadership
Develop ROI models, business-case analyses, and scenario planning to justify investments and optimization projects
Proactively identify and mitigate business, financial, operational, and contract risks
Monitor and drive strict adherence to all contractual obligations: cost savings, SLAs, performance metrics, penalties/incentives, audits, renegotiations, escalations
Maintain version-controlled, up-to-date contract documentation, amendments, financial commitments, and audit records
Lead regular contract reviews and audits to verify compliance, identify gaps, and drive corrective actions
Embody and propagate BlackHawk’s core values: safety, integrity, accountability, innovation, customer-first
Ensure compliance with ISO, quality systems, safety standards, and customer site requirements (PPE, audits, certifications)
Mentor and influence junior account or project staff; drive a customer-centric mindset across internal teams

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related discipline
Experience in managing strategic or enterprise accounts in industrial distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environments
Proven track record delivering quantifiable cost savings, contract compliance, and operational improvements
Deep domain knowledge in industrial supply chains, MRO, logistics, vendor-managed inventory, and site-level operations
Exceptional communication, negotiation, presentation, and influencing skills across all organizational levels
Strong project management aptitude: able to lead complex, cross-functional programs concurrently
Analytical skills: experience building and interpreting dashboards, ROI/NPV modeling, financial metrics
Comfort with CRM, ERP systems, and advanced Excel / BI tools
Ability and willingness to travel frequently (up to 50%, domestic & North America)

Preferred

Certification in Lean, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), or equivalent continuous improvement credentials
Project Management Certificate (PMP certified is a plus)
Experience managing multi-site, multi-stakeholder global or national accounts
Prior experience in transformation or consulting-type engagements
Exposure to IT/technology integration (ERP, procurement systems, dashboards) at client sites
