Responsibilities

Serve as the team leader for the bar staff and lead by example in excellent customer service, extensive knowledge of food and beverage pairings, and flawless beverage creation

Partner with Food and Beverage Leadership to oversee efficient operations of bar locations

Create the Discovery Land Company experience for members and fellow employees

Required

High school diploma or equivalent

Proven leadership skills in Food and Beverage operations at a high end or luxury resort, restaurant, or private club

Two (2) to three (3) years of previous bartending experience, preferably in a fast paced, luxury restaurant, resort, or private club

Knowledge of HACCP & local food safety standards; possesses or can obtain State Food Safety Certificate

Robust knowledgeable of wines and beverage

A passion for trends within the liquor community and think creatively about new drinks or menu items the bar may develop

Extraordinary attention to detail, quality and service

Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members

Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands

Ability to work in a team environment

Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred

Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds
