Responsibilities

Candidate will support Treasury’s ALM Derivatives Trading Desk
Responsibilities will include managing the Desk’s intake of trade inquiries, tracking and updating trade pipeline, and handling other Desk processes
Monitor markets and provide in-depth market and liquidity color for other groups throughout Global Finance
Serve as lead on ad hoc projects as needed. Those projects could include new product testing, onboarding new dealer relationships, amending existing legal agreements, etc
Role includes management of trade execution in interest rate and foreign exchange (FX) derivatives
Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external dealers
A successful candidate will show interest in teamwork, problem-solving, and financial markets. Additionally, a successful candidate will possess attention to detail and willingness to increase subject matter expertise
Associate will be expected to become and maintain status as a registered Associate Person (AP) in Capital One’s Swap Dealer program, this entails passing a derivatives proficiency exam as well as an enhanced background check and any ongoing training that may be required

Required

Bachelor's Degree or military experience
At least 3 years of experience in Finance
Associate will be expected to become and maintain status as a registered Associate Person (AP) in Capital One's Swap Dealer program, this entails passing a derivatives proficiency exam as well as an enhanced background check and any ongoing training that may be required

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or Mathematics
2+ years of experience in Fixed Income Markets, preferably in IRD space
2+ years of experience working at a financial institution, Bank or Broker Dealer
Proficient in the use of Bloomberg, Excel, and Visual Basic
Combination of Business and IT development background
CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), MBA (Masters of Business Administration), or MS (Masters of Science) or progress towards any certification/degrees
