Responsibilities
Originate new business opportunities and drive prospecting efforts with key clients and new logos
Act as a primary sales contact for equity swaps offering for top-tier managers and owners across various strategies in North America
Be responsible for clearly defined financial objectives
Present a holistic view of financing solutions to a variety of client types
Partner with Sales, Client Management, Onboarding and Product Development to deliver an exceptional product experience for our clients
Successfully collaborate with client-facing teams’ enterprise-wide, displaying an ability to educate on offerings and establish customized cross-product solutions
Active presence at industry conferences and State Street led symposiums with a focus on promoting thought leadership to prospective and existing clients
Ensure State Street delivers world class product offerings as measured by market share capture rate, client satisfaction scores and various industry rankings
Deliver highly valued solutions to clients, ensuring comprehensive and consistent delivery of services as their needs evolve
Active participant within a culture that encourages innovation and collaboration
Develops and socializes thought leadership via tactical and strategic marketing plan
Qualification
Required
Creative, outcome-driven influencer with the ability to drive new client acquisition in line with business strategy and financial objectives
Strong knowledge of repo, agency lending and prime services (including Equity Swaps) capabilities and proven skillset in translation of industry / client themes and trends
Comprehensive knowledge of market dynamics and regulatory landscape
Demonstrated ability to achieve strategic business, financial performance, and exemplary client satisfaction results
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Previous Synthetic Prime Services sales and relationship management experience within financial services
Strong critical thinking, communication, problem solving, and decision-making skills
A proactive, opinionated mindset with a strong desire to influence product direction and decision-making
Experience working in fast-paced, front-office financial markets environment; deeply engaged and comfortable with the markets and trading
Outstanding communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills; ability to interact professionally with business leaders and technical teams alike
An extremely flexible, hands-on approach with a 'do what it takes' mentality and a willingness to challenge current paradigms
Strong team orientation with a collaborative mentality; thrives in cross-functional environments and values shared success
Minimum of 10 years of Synthetic Prime sales experience
Established relationships in the buy-side industry, with experience working across a range of client types and segments
Working knowledge of short-term reinvestment and financing options, inclusive of repo, prime brokerage and agency lending solutions
Self-starter, motivated by making the entire team successful
Proficiency in Bloomberg and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Salesforce
Preferred
MBA, CFA or in progress towards is preferred
