Responsibilities

Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting unacceptable materials
Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database
Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions, calling for repairs
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations
Involves working with Engineering and other departments to evaluate products and report results
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications
Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed
Other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2-3 years inspection experience
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Must have a good understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and use of vision systems and/or coordinate measuring equipment
Must be proficient working with basic precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial/digital indicators, height gages, thread gages, pin gages, etc
Must have experience performing first article inspection in accordance with AS9102 or equivalent
Must be comfortable working with binocular microscopes for extended periods
Must be able to pass Visual Acuity requirements (color, depth perception and field of vision)
Ability to read, comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions
Must follow strong safety standards
Must possess attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
Ability to work independently, focus, organize work, and complete assignments on time
Sitting and standing for long periods
Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State

Preferred

Experience working with electrical harnesses and/or connectors
Working knowledge of using video measuring systems
Familiar with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001
Familiar with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and other Aerospace workmanship and quality standards
