Michaels is looking for a Finance Intern (Military Operations) who is ready to apply their accounting course-work to a real-world experience while assisting the Finance department with a variety of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Assist our team record recurring, corporate level operating revenues and expenses

Post journal entries

Post cash receipts

Post vendor bills

Perform end of month reconciliations

Enter K-1 activity to the tax software

Complete bank reconciliations

Reconcile petty cash accounts

Prepare monthly Capital Expenditure Draws

Qualification

Required

Candidates must possess strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong mathematical and accounting skills are required

They should be professional, motivated, highly organized and able to work well alone or with a team

They should be able to follow instructions and be adept at general office skills such as typing and filing

Working knowledge of MS Excel and Word required

Ability to work a minimum of 35 hours per week for the duration of the internship program

Preferred

Knowledge of Realpage & Lacerte tax software not required but useful
