Fabrication Mechanic I (Assembly)

STS Aerospace is searching for a Fabrication Mechanic - Assembly to join the team. This position involves the fabrication of metal tubing for various operations, including cutting, grinding, and polishing according to specifications for use in hydraulic and pneumatic installations.

Responsibilities

Performs visual and dimensional checks on materials, assemblies, tube details, components and finished products
Plans, lay out, fabricate, assembles, install, salvage parts from assemblies and repair rigid and/or flexible tube assemblies, fixtures, equipment, and products by performing the following duties
Perform various functions by hand and utilizes hand tools to prepare hose for assembly including removing rubber to buff back ends for fittings, connect fittings to hose, apply RTV, and other assembly preparations
Sets up and operates abrasive, squaring, deburring, and sizing equipment such as swager or crimper
Reads and interprets blueprints, method sheets, process sheets, policies and procedures to manufacture a variety of rigid and flexible metal tubes
Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time
Other duties may be assigned as needed

Required

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
