Responsibilities

Develops, creates, and modifies general computer applications software or specialized utility programs
Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions
Designs or customizes software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency
Analyzes and designs databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team
Researches, designs, develops, and tests operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific, and general computing applications
Sets operational specifications and formulates and analyzes software requirements
Designs embedded systems software
Applies principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis

Qualification

Java Object-Oriented ProgrammingFull Stack DevelopmentKubernetesCloud-native architecturesApache KafkaGitOpsAtlassian Tool Suite

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
Secret clearance
Five years of professional experience
Proficiency in Full Stack Development with Java
Proficiency in Java Object-Oriented Programming
Experience with Kubernetes and containers, including the automation of deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications
Familiarity with Cloud-native architectures
Active DoD Secret security clearance or higher

Preferred

Knowledge of event-driven architectures and streaming
Experience with Apache Kafka for Pub/Sub (Publish, Subscribe)
Streaming experience is a plus- Understanding of event sources
Experience running GitOps (GitLab, Git, Bitbucket, ArgoCD, Tecton, etc.) within version control tools
Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) for version control management is a plus
