Product Detailer/CAD Designer

Heritage Metalworks is a custom architectural metal shop creating high-end metalwork for luxury residential projects. They are seeking a Product Detailer/CAD Designer to produce shop drawings and 3D models for custom metal projects, maintain drawings, and create Bills of Materials to support fabrication and purchasing.

Responsibilities

Create clear 2D and 3D drawings for fabrication and client review

Break down assemblies into part drawings and fabrication details

Build and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for custom and product-line projects

Maintain and update drawings for existing lighting and hardware collections

Collaborate directly with fabricators to resolve build and design decisions

Revise drawings as projects evolve

Occasionally visit job sites to verify measurements and installation requirements

Required

Experience with CAD software (IronCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion 360, or similar)

Strong mechanical reasoning and spatial visualization

Ability to interpret architectural drawings and translate to fabrication detail

Detail-oriented and comfortable asking questions to get solutions right

Clear communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

Preferred

Metal fabrication, millwork, or product design background

Understanding of fasteners, hardware, or joinery

Experience coordinating with builders, installers, or architects
