Responsibilities
Repair a wide range of American-made, handcrafted wood, metal, and upholstered furniture
Perform minor wall and floor touch-ups to ensure the space is left in pristine condition
Maintain a clean, respectful, and professional work area in every customer's home
Safely drive and operate a service van, completing an average of 4-6 in-home repairs a day, with additional time for routing, communication, and follow-up with colleagues and leaders throughout the week
Qualification
Required
5-7 years of experience mending, repairing, refinishing, and touching up solid wood and metal, as well as upholstery stitching/repair
Comfortable with a high level of autonomy and accountability
Professional and direct communication style that makes you approachable with customers and in the workplace
Ability to discuss design aesthetic, natural materials, and make furniture placement suggestions
At least 21 years of age with a valid driver's license
Able to lift/carry heavy items with the assistance of proper lifting equipment
Proficiency in spoken and written English is required to ensure effective communication with internal teams and customers
Able to pass pre-employment requirements, including a 5-panel drug screen (no THC)
Ability to provide proof of identity and legal work authorization upon hire
Ability to pass a bench test, demonstrating your repair skills
Preferred
A genuine passion for serving customers, demonstrated through prior experience in a customer-facing delivery or customer service role, is highly valued and preferred
