Volkert, Inc. is a Top 100 design firm committed to providing creative solutions for sustainability. They are seeking an experienced Right of Way Agent to acquire land, easements, and other rights for DOT and municipal clients in the Midwest Region.

Responsibilities

Responsible for claim settlement where client’s activities incur damage to property

Prepares document necessary to negotiate and option the proposed ROW

Is knowledgeable in title reports, appraisals, and basic ROW/roadway plans

You will meet with property owners to make offers, prepare and document paperwork and activities, and report to supervisor regularly

Relo agent will also be required to make relocation offers

Qualification

Real estate experienceEngineering experienceODOT prequalificationsMicrosoft OfficeCommunication skills

Required

At minimum, two years real estate and/or engineering experience

A minimum of one year real estate and/or engineering experience

At least one of the following ODOT prequalifications: Titles, appraisals, negotiation, closings, relocation

Strong communications and social skills

Experience with Microsoft Office, email, and general computer knowledge

Ability to travel to OH to meet with property owners

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment

Valid driver's license

A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
