Responsibilities

Maintain a clean & safe work environment
Test sample preparation, assembly, and testing
Cutting, welding, and assembling test fixtures/production equipment
Inspecting sample failures and determining cause of failure
Using lab equipment for analysis of pipe – microscope and DSC
Wiring and calibrating data logging equipment such as pressure transducers and thermocouples
Assisting with winding prototype fiberglass pipe for testing
Cleaning work area and machines after use, keeping tools and equipment organized and stored when not in use
Wear appropriate PPE in required areas
Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines, and procedures
Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines, and procedures
Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines, and procedures
Other duties as assigned

Required

High School diploma or equivalent
Three years shop/lab related experience
Ability to work Monday thru Fridays, 7am-3:30pm, with overtime per work project requirements
Standing up to 10 hours daily
Walking up to 10 hours daily
Bending/Stooping up to 10 hours daily
Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping/fastening) up to 10 hours daily
Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. regularly
Push/Pull up to 10 hours daily

Attention to detail
Safe working habits
Work well with others/Team player
Knowledge of shop tools/machinery. Ability to weld, use lathe, mill a plus
Knowledge of electricity/ability to troubleshoot electrical problems and use multimeter
Mechanical aptitude-broad understanding of how parts are assembled and work together
Able to learn to calibrate pressure transducers, thermocouples, and lab equipment per FGS standards
Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane safely and correctly
Ability to understand drawings, instructions or repair and assembly operations
Ability to use and read calipers, micrometers, OD tape (Vernier scale)
Ability to adapt and be cross trained to learn all job duties as required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
