The intern will support legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts through research, policy tracking, and administrative coordination, gaining hands-on experience in legislative analysis and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

Monitor and summarize federal and state legislative developments relevant to the investment management industry

Listen to congressional hearings, summarize key discussions, and prepare concise reports for internal stakeholders

Assist in preparing briefing materials, policy memos, and correspondence to government officials and stakeholders

Provide administrative support including scheduling, travel coordination, and expense processing

Support the coordination of ICI Political Action Committee (ICI PAC) activities, including event planning and reporting

Help maintain department databases, track lobbying activities, and manage contact lists

Attend internal meetings and shadow lobbyists to gain insight into advocacy strategies

Assist in planning and executing special events, including candidate fundraising events and government affairs briefings
