Senior Mechanical (HVAC/Plumbing) Engineer

Reese Hackman is an engineering and consulting firm specializing in the design of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, low voltage, and telecommunications systems. They are seeking a Senior Mechanical (HVAC/Plumbing) Engineer to manage and lead project teams through all phases of design, develop mechanical systems, and maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities

Manage and lead project teams through all phases of design. This includes development of system designs, directing project teams, project scheduling, budgeting, and cost estimation related to mechanical engineering scope and staff
Maintain existing client relationships and develop new client relationships through the course of project management and business development initiatives
Design, develop, and implement mechanical (HVAC and plumbing) systems for commercial, and institutional buildings
Provide quality control oversight of mechanical system designs for various project types
Mentor staff members and cultivate strategies for their personal and professional growth
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems within overall building design
Analyze and troubleshoot existing HVAC and plumbing systems for retrofits or upgrades, providing innovative solutions to improve performance
Ensure that all work adheres to RH standards as well as applicable building codes, standards (ASHRAE, ASPE, NFPA, etc.), and client requirements

Required

10+ years of experience in HVAC or Plumbing design for commercial and institutional facilities
Project Management experience leading design teams
Development of system design concepts and implementation of those concepts through all phases of design
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment

Preferred

Architectural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree (ABET-accredited)
Proficiency in Revit
PE Designation
