As a Control Software Engineering intern, you will support the software engineering needs at a zirconium manufacturing facility, working closely with experienced engineers to develop and troubleshoot software systems for the commercial nuclear power industry.

Responsibilities
Develop software engineering skills for use in a manufacturing controls environment, including coding, documentation, and troubleshooting
Learn control software components, such as: PLCs, HMIs, I/O, and industrial networking
Upgrade existing systems to updated platforms, and create software solutions for new systems
Provide daily technical engineering support for software systems, instrumentation, and controls for plant processing equipment, data capture, and maintenance
Develop and execute test plans to ensure proper operation of systems and validation of designs
Ensure compliance to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements for control systems
Identify causes of failures in systems, and recommend resolutions
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering, with a focus on software engineering
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Completed Sophomore year of college
Working knowledge of general coding and documentation best practices, including Software Detailed Design documents
