Responsibilities

Performs specific tasks related to patient care in the Obstetrical Unit as delegated by a Registered Professional Nurse

Assists in the nursing care and preparation of the surgical patient

Functions as a member of the sterile team in preparing for intra-operative care

Assisting the surgeon and maintaining the sterile field

Qualification

BLS CertificationUnlicensed assistive personnel curriculumNursing Assistant certificationSurgical Technician experienceElectronic charting experience

Required

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Successful and proof of completion of an unlicensed assistive personnel curriculum that meets the minimum training standards as outlined in 19 CSR 30-20.125 OR

Is certified as a nursing assistant as defined in section 198.082, RSMo. OR

Has a minimum of two (2) years documented experience as a Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or Surgical Technician in the past three (3) years

BLS Certification

Preferred

Previous Hospital Or Nursing Home Experience

Previous electronic charting experience
