Marina Bay Sands is seeking a qualified candidate for an Assistant Project Manager of Project and Construction Management for a new construction project. The role involves working closely with internal teams and managing schedules and reports related to the construction of a new arena.

Responsibilities

Collate and maintain tracking schedules to ensure the Arena teams’ timely responses to the Main Contractors and Lead Consultants submissions & review process for shop drawings, RFI’s ITP’s, lifting plans, QA and Safety Plans and the like

Track changes to the project that have been generated through the design and construction process

Assist in the preparation of detailed, accurate, timely project reports including work schedules, implementations, and deviations

Attend and minute regularly scheduled design meetings with the contractors and design team to review the following: shop drawing preparation/approval, equipment/material submissions and lead times and required on-site dates

Track design changes both internally with our consultants and externally with the Main Contractor and specialist contractors

Required

BSc Building/Construction Management/Building Diploma or similar qualifications preferred

Min 2 years previous work experience in a similar field, knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, industry standards and other project-related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies of benefit

Clear and concise written and oral communication skills

Ability to communicate effectively across different departments and companies

Maintain composure under pressure and meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts

Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with management, other team members, and outside contacts

Clear and methodical approach to working in a fast-paced and busy environment

Experience of Aconex, Sharepoint or other similar web-based systems

Comprehension and understanding of the BIM - Building Information Modelling process
