Writing and producing daily HLSR news stories

Conducting fact finding research

On camera reporting
Interviewing capabilities
Collect video to support the story
Provide remote audio services
Provide audio assistance/grip services for staff and professional crews
Provide live camera operation services for ongoing livestock and horse show events
Fill typical broadcast control room roles such as Director and Associate Director services
Assist with ongoing news monitoring of local newscasts
Collect broadcast clips pertaining to HLSR
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled at Texas Tech University, Alvin Community College, University of Houston, or Lone Star College
Must receive authorization from the Internship Program Director in order to apply for this position
Capable of writing and producing daily HLSR news stories
Ability to conduct fact finding research
Scripting skills
Voice over skills
On camera reporting skills
Interviewing capabilities
Skilled in photography
Ability to collect video to support the story
Provide remote audio services for the writer/producer
Provide audio assistance/grip services for staff and professional crews contracted with HLSR
Provide live camera operation services for ongoing livestock and horse show events in NRG Center and NRG Arena
Fill typical broadcast control room roles such as Director and Associate Director services
Assist with ongoing news monitoring of local newscasts
Collect broadcast clips pertaining to HLSR
