Senior CAD Manager

They are seeking a Senior CAD Manager to lead CAD work, produce high-quality civil engineering drawings, manage workflows, mentor staff, and drive improvements in drafting standards and technologies.

Responsibilities
Assist in the development of design drawings and construction documents using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and OpenRoads Designer for projects of varying size and complexity
Analyze sketches, notes, and project meeting minutes to determine the best approach to complex designs and drawings
Keep a schedule, stay on budget, and ensure the smooth operation of tasks
Show attention to detail and have the patience to handle multiple rounds of revisions, coordination between disciplines, with the potential for repetitive tasks
Rework and modify drawings and designs based on comments and reviews from project managers, engineers, and clients
Perform CAD management tasks such as technical support, installing and updating CAD software, orienting new staff on CAD standards and workflows, conduct CAD related training, modify and encourage adherence to CAD standards, and stay up to date on the latest versions and updates of CAD technology. Ability to maintain a balance between strict adherence to CAD standards and flexibility to meet client requirements, changing technology, and innovation
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field
5+ years of experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Experience creating Civil 3D styles
Experience customizing AutoCAD/Civil 3D, including using LISP, Visual LISP, .Net, VBA, or similar
Experience working in the Autodesk Construction Cloud
A strong understanding and vision of CAD standards and their value to projects
Experience in CAD production of models and drawings for civil infrastructure and environmental type projects, including sheet sets, surface creation, grading, pipe networks, corridors, and point management
Ability and experience working with designers and engineers in the CAD production process
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
Proven ability to manage deadlines across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
The ability to communicate, train, and help others use the technology, tools, and CAD standards successfully on projects
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field
10+ years of experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and OpenRoads designer
Experience in a CAD manager role
Experience with GIS, Revit, Bluebeam, or other related software
Live in the Fort Collins area or are willing to relocate (hybrid options available)
