Responsibilities

Consult with senior staff leaders in one or more business areas to deliver top-quality and cost-effective meetings and events in line with business objectives and Vanguard's brand strategy

Execute large-scale enterprise wide events and projects. Recommend and implement creative and innovative practices to continuously improve upon existing meeting and event planning processes

Develop and maintain broad knowledge and awareness of conference and event industry forces, competition, technology, and trends to act as a trusted advisor throughout the conference and event strategy

Create detailed plans consistent with marketing and business objectives, develops cost/benefit analyses, and lead continuous-improvement efforts

Foster effective communication and partnership with external partners. Liaison between internal and external partners as needed

Participate in assessing team capacity and prioritizing requests. Engage in strategic competitive analysis. Manage risk and ensure compliance in partnership with senior leaders and other Vanguard crew

Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Required

Minimum of five years related work experience, with at least two years of marketing or event-planning experience

Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required
