Responsibilities
Develop and revise wiring diagrams, system layout drawings, mechanical assemblies, and detailed 3D product drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
Create and maintain technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, BOMs, assembly manuals, and product data sheets
Ensure all drawings and documentation comply with ISO 9001, QMS, and company standards
Manage and track documentation and design revisions using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
Collaborate with engineers and project leads to verify design accuracy and ensure compliance with project requirements
Prepare technical specifications, procedures, and manuals for production and installation
Support 3D printing activities, including model preparation, prototype validation, and maintenance of additive manufacturing equipment
Record and report work activities through the companyโs time tracking system
Assist in the creation and management of BIM objects and Revit files for integration into architectural or engineering models (experience in this area is an asset)
Conduct occasional on-site measurements, inspections, or reviews (including travel to Toronto 1โ4 times per year)
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in Computer Aided Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a similar field
Minimum 5 years of experience in drafting, design, or technical documentation
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent)
Familiarity with ISO standards, QMS procedures, and PLM tools
Strong technical writing and document control skills
Knowledge of 3D printing processes and technologies
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required
Preferred
Experience with BIM / Revit files considered a strong asset
