Tool Repair Technician - 1st Shift

The Tool Repair Technician will be responsible for disassembling, repairing, reassembling, and testing tools under the supervision of the department manager, while maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe working environment at all times. Disassemble, repair, reassemble, and test tools following supervisor’s direction
Prepare and complete source documents for labor and inventory transactions
Follow step-by-step instructions to complete tasks promptly and accurately
Communicate trends or repeated quality issues to management
Work flexibly across all areas of the Tool Department as needed
Complete additional job responsibilities and project work as assigned

Required

High School diploma or equivalent required
Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic tools
1–2 years of mechanical experience (tool repair or similar)
Ability to effectively communicate with team members and other departments
Comfortable working in a team environment and independently
Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office proficiency)
Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and presses daily
Ability to use precision measuring instruments
Must be able to meet daily production quotas and stay on task with minimal supervision
Ability to stand for entire shift and lift up to 70 lbs. (lift assistance provided)
Must furnish own standard hand tools
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
High degree of mental concentration and attention to detail required
Must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment

Preferred

A high school diploma/GED is preferred, ideally within mechanical skilled trade
