Responsibilities

Create superior gouache renderings for one of a kind high jewelry and custom pieces
Create meaningful presentations to support the brand’s artistic vision
Work in tandem with Advanced Design team to ensure 3D models meet design intent
Partner with Advanced Design, Product Development and suppliers to ensure that the finished product properly reflects the integrity and intent of the Chief Artistic Officer-Jewelry and High Jewelry
Provide research and development idea inspirations to Vice President and Chief Artistic Officer based on their directives and anticipated needs of the business
Demonstrate and apply knowledge of style concepts in jewelry and additional art forms as they relate to Tiffany design
Manage design process from concept development to design hand off to meet the critical deadlines as established by the corporate timeline
Partner across categories to support and ensure cohesive design in brand vision
Evaluate and communicate independent non-biased feedback of strengths and weaknesses of design concepts to senior management team
Manage all aspects of design deliverables to achieve timeline goals
Proactively manage and maintain accurate usage of design systems and numbers project
Create and implement plans to achieve results. Identify opportunities for improvement and creation of efficiencies within area of responsibility and overall department
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure design vision is production viable, technically functional and produced to achieve aesthetic direction of the collection
Proactively set up and encourage communication amongst design team to ensure alignment and cohesive execution
Manage and maintain the archiving, organization and communication of electronic design documents
Demonstrate and foster support for the goals of the department and company

Required

Completed degree in Jewelry, Metals, Industrial Design or Fine Arts and/or 8+ years of industry experience (jewelry design required)
A passion for jewelry accompanied by a strong sense of creativity, aesthetic sensitivity and openness to art
Superior freehand drawing skills and gouache rendering techniques
Strong knowledge of gemology as well as jewelry manufacturing and techniques
The ability to read and interpret technical drawings to appropriately monitor development in conjunction with workshops
Excellent organization skills, self-starting, multi-task oriented and able to set and meet deadlines
Must be able to adapt and manage changes in design direction and project timeframes
General knowledge and interest in competitive retail market, trends, brand identity and client base
A strong work ethic with passion, curiosity, humility and a willingness and desire to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Demonstrated openness to feedback, active participation in design critique sessions and ability to implement revisions
