NEOGOV is seeking an Assistant Director for the Bolton Ski and Ride Youth Program, based in Burlington, Vermont. The role involves providing leadership and support in the administration and facilitation of the program, ensuring safety and excellent customer service for participants and volunteers.

Responsibilities

Follow all departmental and rules and regulations

Provide outstanding customer service to participants, volunteers, and relevant stakeholders such as families, mountain staff, and community members

Role model and exemplify outdoor education best practices and BPRW core values across locations and audiences

Alongside Program Director, provide facilitation of program procedures on-sites and in transitions

Assist Program Director in organizing program and associated rosters, registration, waivers, and contracts. Assist Program Director in coordinating staff and volunteer roles, placement, and tasks

Assist Program Director in supervising participants, volunteers and staff

Recognize potential or present safety hazards and report deficiencies to Program Director

Ride the bus to and from Bolton Valley Ski Resort with participants to provide supervision during transportation and at the mountain/clubhouse

Be on site before and after the program for set up and take down. Attend staff meetings and staff trainings as required

Report all accidents/incidents occurring within jurisdiction to supervisor. Administer proper First Aid as required

Required

High school Diploma or equivalent required

Ability to supervise and organize groups of children for activity programs

Knowledge of safety principles and practices as they apply to group activities

Knowledge of a variety of recreation - leisure activities and group games

A cooperative attitude and a team player

First-Aid / CPR training required. Certification courses available after hire
