Immersion UT Technicians - Long-Term/Short-Term

National Inspection & Consultants, part of Element Materials Technology, is seeking qualified NDT Level II Ultrasonic (UT) Immersion Technicians for multiple contract assignments. The role involves performing immersion UT inspections for critical inspection activities in industries such as aerospace and manufacturing, requiring proficiency in automated turntable systems and strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Perform immersion UT inspections using automated or semi-automated turntable systems
Interpret and evaluate indications per applicable standards and specifications

Qualification

ASNT Level II certificationUltrasonic TestingImmersion UT TestingTurntable scanning systemsDocumentation skills

Required

ASNT Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT), with documented training and experience per SNT-TC-1A or equivalent
Minimum 2–3 years of experience performing UT immersion inspections, including experience with turntable scanning systems
Proficiency in using UT equipment from leading manufacturers (e.g., GE, Olympus, Krautkramer, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Strong documentation and reporting skills

Preferred

Experience in aerospace or high-precision component inspections
Familiarity with Nadcap or other industry quality systems
Knowledge of additional NDT methods (PT, MT, etc.) is a plus
Previous experience with digital UT systems or automated data acquisition software
