Responsibilities
Operate Portable Coordinate Metrology Machine(s) to verify various products are in dimensional accordance with drawings and specifications
Operate PCMM’s to assist trades in fit-up i.e. live fit
Conduct regular maintenance on PCMM and inspection equipment
Collect and analyze data using Spatial Analyzer
Understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Uses calipers, micrometers, and other hand inspection tools as required
Performs other related duties as assigned
Responsible for housekeeping in the department
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Associate degree and three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
A minimum one (1) year programming CMM, Faro equipment and Polyworks software experience
CMM Level III certification
Minimum one (1) year of experience operating Laser Tracker and Articulated Arm PCMM's either Faro, Leica, or API using Spatial Analyzer or Polyworks
Experience with ERP systems, preferably IFS
Demonstrated excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
Excellent attendance record including job stability
Must have the ability to change and adapt to new situations
Must be able to read and understand blueprints and drawings
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals
Preferred
CMM Level III certification
