Sr. Manager, Enterprise Compliance

The Sr. Manager, Enterprise Compliance is responsible for developing and maintaining a compliance testing framework, overseeing compliance governance, and managing regulatory complaint responses to ensure adherence to regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain a comprehensive, risk-based compliance testing framework
Develop standardized methodologies, test scripts, and sampling strategies
Leverage large data sets and advanced analytics to create statistically sound and scalable testing
Ensure coverage across all business lines and regulatory requirements, including consumer and commercial financing and insurance products
Incorporate testing of AI tools and processes to ensure compliance with consumer protection laws and emerging regulatory expectations
Ensure testing team executes on second line testing schedule
Ensure utilization of automation and AI when practical to improve testing efficiency
Monitor regulatory developments and ensure updates to testing scripts
Maintain documentation of testing plans, results, and remediation activities
Produce dashboards and reports that highlight findings, trends, and risks
Track remediation progress and verify corrective actions are implemented
Translate technical and analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for business and leadership
Provide oversight and independent review of first line control testing
Develop, maintain, and refine Compliance Key Risk Indicators (KRIs); monitor thresholds, identify trends, escalate anomalies or threshold breaches
Lead the escalation process for KRI monitoring, recurring control failures, or emerging risk patterns and ensure timely communication to Compliance leadership and appropriate business leadership
Prepare and deliver materials for reporting compliance risk to the Compliance Review Board
Provide insights and analysis on compliance risk trends, testing outcomes, and remediation status
Oversee responses for complaints submitted through the CFPB and state regulators ensuring all responses are complete, accurate, and submitted within required timeframes
Oversee second line review of high risk complaint categories and root cause analysis of issues identified through regulatory complaints
Ensure there is an effective feedback loop and formal tracking for issues
Prepare reports to summarize findings and trends
Lead, mentor and develop team members by providing direction, performance feedback, and support to ensure effective collaboration, professional growth, and achievement of organizational and personal goals

Required

Minimum 8 years of compliance testing and monitoring experience in the financial services industry including the development of Compliance KRIs and executive management reporting
Minimum 3 years supervisory experience
Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline
Experience using data analytics and automation tools to test large data sets required
Working knowledge of consumer protection regulations related to consumer lending, including but not limited to, ECOA, FCRA, FDCPA, TILA and GLBA
Proficiency in SQL, Python, SAS, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools to query large data sets
Ability to translate large and complex data into meaningful compliance insights
Strong skills of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with leadership regarding compliance risk
Exhibit strong analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to coach, develop and manage employee performance
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to work well in both a team environment and independently
Ability to adapt quickly to change, handle multiple competing projects, work with complex subject matter, possess keen attention to detail and deliver quality results in a timely manner

Preferred

Advanced degree or compliance/risk certification (e.g., CRCM, CCEP, CRCMP) preferred
