Pricing & Proposals Intern (Summer 2026)

Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company (PacSci EMC) is seeking a Pricing & Proposal Intern for the summer of 2026 to gain hands-on experience in pricing analysis, proposal development, and business case support within the aerospace and defense industry. The intern will assist in coordinating proposal efforts, support cost analysis, and contribute to the development of business cases and presentations for management review.

Responsibilities

Assist in coordinating proposal efforts by supporting cross-functional teams with project management tasks and documentation
Support proposal team members with gathering, reviewing, and organizing technical and business inputs for new opportunities
Work with product and engineering teams to address proposal-related questions and ensure accurate technical inputs
Contribute to cost analysis and modeling based on key pricing inputs to support optimal pricing recommendations
Assist in developing business cases and preparing presentations for management review
Support the preparation of cost support packages in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Help review proposal schedules and ensure data inputs align with program and facility capacity expectations
Contribute to process improvement projects and documentation for pricing and proposal workflows
Assist with discrepancy resolution and new price generation alongside pricing analysts
Perform other related duties as assigned

Required

Junior or senior standing in 2026 or 2027, currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Engineering Management, Economics, or a related field
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to synthesize findings into clear reports and recommendations
Effective oral and written communication skills; confident working with cross-functional teams
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
Collaborative team player with curiosity and eagerness to learn
Due to contractual and regulatory requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role

Preferred

Familiarity with proposal or project management tools is a plus
Interest in government contracts, FAR/CAS requirements, and defense industry standards (exposure is a plus, not required)
