Responsibilities
Representing the State in significant litigation at all levels of state and federal court, including the U.S. Supreme Court
Delivering oral arguments at the Seventh Circuit, Indiana Supreme Court, and Indiana Court of Appeals
Authoring merits and amicus briefs that address issues of statewide and national importance, including multi-state amicus briefs
Managing appeals and trial-level cases
Working directly with the Attorney General, the Solicitor General, and the Attorney General’s senior cabinet to analyze and resolve sensitive constitutional, political, legislative, and legal policy questions
Qualification
Required
Indiana bar license (or the ability to qualify for the Indiana bar)
Four to seven years of related experience, including appellate experience
Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
Preferred
Federal appellate clerkship preferred
