Aon is looking for a Claims Manager I to join their industry-leading team in Ft. Wayne, IN. In this role, you will oversee medical and participant accident claims, supervise Claims Examiners, and ensure compliance with carrier requirements while serving as a liaison with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

Assign new medical and accident claims to direct reports
Supervise and training Claims Examiners, ensuring compliance with carrier requirements and internal procedures
Review and manage examiner caseloads, providing guidance on complex claim issues
Oversee claim payments exceeding examiner authority
Conduct monthly file audits and participate in quality assurance programs
Evaluate examiner performance and support ongoing professional development
Serve as a liaison with clients, brokers, healthcare providers, and internal teams regarding claim status and resolution
Communicate new account requirements and claims handling protocols

Required

Assign new medical and accident claims to direct reports

Evaluate examiner performance and support ongoing professional development
Serve as a liaison with clients, brokers, healthcare providers, and internal teams regarding claim status and resolution
Communicate new account requirements and claims handling protocols
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience in Medical, PIP or Workers Compensation claims

Preferred

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Supervisory or management experience preferred
Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and time management abilities
Experience with medical or accident claims and knowledge of claims processes
Innovative thinker with a focus on process improvement
