Operations Engineer
SMC Ltd. is a globally recognized premium supplier to the medical market, seeking an Operations Engineer to support optimal manufacturing processes. The role involves managing projects, analyzing processes for safety and efficiency, and driving continuous improvement within the manufacturing team.

Responsibilities
Exceed customer expectations as related to part, product, and or assembly
Analyze manufacturing processes and equipment to ensure they are operating within specification, meet ergonomic standards, and are safe
Meeting the needs of external and internal customers related to tasks and the manufacturing team’s needs for success
Provides support and technical solutions to team members ensuring project deliverables are complete, accurate, and meet established timelines
Research, plan, and develop robust manufacturing processes that are on-time and under budget
Analyze equipment layout, workflow, and assembly methods to achieve maximum utilization of resources
Manage tasks with knowledge gained from previous projects and other SME’s to continually drive greater results
Support a team culture where all participating employees feel engaged, involved, supported, and challenged to exceed expectations
Works with all departments required to successfully complete project tasks efficiently under the mentorship of a level II, III, or Management
Assists in the review and acceptance of new programs and processes into production
Support the review and required updates of work instructions, BOM, and other related manufacturing information to improve accuracy
Support CAPA activities by the recommendation and implantation of appropriate process improvements to include but not limited to work cell layout, instructions, and automation equipment improvements
Research, develop, and implement new technologies that align to business needs
Create and present cost justifications supported with data
Travel may be required to meet customer needs
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
BS in an applicable Engineering discipline with 0-3 years of experience, preferably in plastics or medical industries
Ability to exercise strong judgment in analyzing, evaluating and solving problems
Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including work flow, layout, assembly, and production equipment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Computer proficiency; Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Solid Works
Ability to fluently read, write, speak and understand English
