Start in 2026 SpringSavannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is a prime contractor for the US Department of Energy, responsible for managing the Savannah River Site’s Liquid Waste operations. The Chemical or Biochemical Engineering interns will support the SRMC organization by working on technical topics with engineering mentors, monitoring process parameters, and assisting system engineers in troubleshooting and maintenance activities.

Responsibilities
Work daily on technical topics with an engineering mentor
Monitor process parameters for chemical batch processes, review sample results, monitor batch operations and complete batch calculation to support operations
Provide assistance to system engineers to assess system health, troubleshoot system process upsets and deviations
Accompany production system engineers/operators/ shift technical engineer on system walk downs for maintenance activities and/or troubleshooting
Participate in technical discussions with mechanical, electrical and chemical engineers
Qualification
Required
Candidate must be enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited four-year university, and currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Biochemical Engineering
Must have completed their Sophomore year
Must pass General Employment Training (GET)
Must pass Drug and Alcohol Testing (DAT)
Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5
A valid Driver's License, Registration and proof of automobile insurance is required for driving on the Savannah River Site
