Orbis, Inc. is seeking a Marine Mechanical Engineer (Auxiliary) to provide engineering technical and management support in analyzing and solving engineering problems. Responsibilities

Help provide engineering technical and management support in studying, analyzing, and evaluating engineering problems, and developing solutions
Support will include assisting in the development of contract documentation and the development of technical plans, specifications, cost estimates relating to the various categories of engineering support services, studies provided, and associated reports
This position will be part of a contract team to assist in the preparation of a wide range of engineering and feasibility studies, providing engineering and technical support for design review, performance feasibility studies, and designs of ships, boat, and shipboard systems in support of existing and future vessel acquisition programs
Design, develop and evaluate operation of marine vessels, shipboard auxiliary systems and piping, review and develop technical data packages, provide oversight on development of machinery arrangements, conduct and oversee trade studies
Lead engineers in development efforts, coordinate with other functional areas to complete ship design

Required

Knowledge of ABS, USN, and industry standards relating to shipboard auxiliary systems
Minimum of 6 years' documented experience with design, optimization, and integration of marine auxiliary and piping systems, ship machinery integration, cargo handling systems, and weight handling systems calculations and analyses
Must be a U.S. citizen
A secret security clearance
