Responsibilities
Support system design for refining and material processing hardware
Analyze mining equipment performance and material extraction processes
Conduct literature reviews and comparative studies on mining techniques in extreme environments
Collaborate with optics, thermal, and mechanical engineers to shape hardware development
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline
Enrollment in an accredited college or university, with a GPA of 3.5 or higher
Must be a rising senior
Understanding of mineral processing, extraction, and refining
Strong analytical and documentation skills
Must not be otherwise employed for the duration of the internship
Must be 18 years or older
Proof of US Citizenship or Permanent Residency
Preferred
Familiarity with mining simulation software or CAD tools
Interest in space resource utilization or in-situ resource processing
Experience with high-temperature or vacuum processing is a plus
