Recruitment and Special Projects Coordinator
Ball State University is seeking a Recruitment and Special Projects Coordinator for the School of Art. The role involves facilitating recruiting efforts, managing scholarships, preparing recruitment materials, and planning events to engage prospective students and families.
Responsibilities
Work with the Office of Admissions to track applicants and schedule tours and visits for prospective students and families; conduct tours and discuss curriculum, application process, and scholarships; and communicate with prospective students throughout the application, admission, and orientation process
Work with the Office of Financial Aid to manage all School of Art scholarships from application to award and communicate with students throughout the process
Prepare and disseminate recruitment materials (brochures, posters, informational handouts)
Plan and execute on-campus recruitment events (Cardinal Preview Days, CFA Preview Day, Admitted Students Day, Explore BSU Day, Experience BSU Day, etc.)
Plan and execute off-campus recruitment activities and special events (exhibitions/festivals, student-alumni engagements, workshops, visits to local/regional high schools, etc.)
Develop additional community and university events and programs to bolster the opportunities to engage in the visual arts in collaboration with SOA faculty and staff, the BSU Office of Community Engagement (OCE), and community partners
Hire, train, and supervise student workers to support recruitment and special projects
Serve as Chair of the School of Art’s Recruitment and Retention Committee and collaborate with faculty to identify areas of study that require additional recruitment/retention efforts and plan to increase matriculation numbers
Teach up to one class per semester in studio art, art history, art education, arts administration, graphic design, animation, or a related field
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in art, design, art history, education, or related field from an accredited institution
One year of related professional experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Preferred
One semester of teaching experience at the college level, gained concurrently or at any time
