Responsibilities

Providing legal support regarding basic civil rights and criminal law matters
Preparation and review of legal documents
Direct engagement, via video conferencing, with clients and members of law enforcement
Documentation and reporting following video call engagements

US State Bar membershipCivil rights lawConstitutional lawCriminal lawNote taking skillsListening aptitudeFluency in Spanish

Required

Membership, in good standing, of at least one US State Bar
Interest in federal civil rights, constitutional law or criminal law
Strong aptitude for listening; good note taking skills
Private, dedicated workspace and laptop with internet and video capabilities
Ability to commit to a fixed work schedule for the first 30 days of this assignment
All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time

Preferred

Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required
