New Grad, Entry LevelServingSchools is seeking K-2 Educational Technicians for Scarborough Public Schools, which is dedicated to providing quality education to students. The role involves supporting academic and behavioral instruction, providing classroom management, and assisting with personal care duties as needed.
Education
Responsibilities
Supports direct academic and behavioral instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings
Perform non-instructional, non-evaluative functions
Help students master equipment/instructional materials assigned by the teacher
Provide classroom management functions
Assist with playground/recess, lunch and bus duties as requested
Assist with supervision of students during emergency / fire drills, assemblies and field trips
Provide escort and assistance to students as necessary
Work cooperatively and positively with coworkers and supervisors
Participate in in-service training programs as assigned
Perform Personal Care duties (i.e. feeding, lifting, toileting, etc) as required
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising special education teacher, principal, or Director of Special Services
Qualification
Required
Must hold Education Technician I-III Certification from Maine Department of Education
CHRC fingerprinting
Maine State Law requires ALL school employees to be fingerprinted and pass a Criminal History Record Check (CHRC)
A copy of your CHRC MUST be uploaded as part of your application to be considered
