The Defense Logistics Agency is seeking an Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic to work at the New Cumberland Defense Logistics Center. The role involves testing, analyzing, repairing, and modifying a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment, ensuring the proper functioning of complex systems and components.

Responsibilities

Tests, analyzes, repairs, reconstructs a wide variety of highly complicated electronic, Automatic Data Processing (ADP), and electro-mechanical equipment; and specialized integrated and programmable systems and components

Modifies, and relocates existing systems to include system layouts as documented in drawings, mechanical, electrical

Accomplishes component repairs and modifications to the micro-chip level

Maintains, repairs, services, and implements modifications on computer controlled material handling systems, components and related communication and data processing support systems

Examples of systems mentioned above: encoders, decoders, interface circuits, serial to parallel data converters, and various input and output devices

Uses blueprints, schematics, ladder diagrams, program listings, input/output assignment work sheets, manufacturer’s manuals, and other technical guidance material carry out and successfully complete work
