Responsibilities
Provide sophisticated legal counsel to some of the nation’s largest health systems, hospitals, physician groups, health care management organizations, private equity-backed health care funds, academic medical centers, behavioral health providers, and other healthcare providers
Advise clients through high-stakes transactions, including mergers, asset transactions, joint ventures, private equity transactions, and affiliation arrangements
Manage the due diligence processes and transactions timelines while ensuring business and legal alignment
Leverage a deep understanding of client operations to craft pragmatic, business-focused legal strategies that support long-term success

Qualification
Required
A Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active bar license in good standing, or ability to become licensed in Indiana, North Carolina, Colorado, or Michigan within one year (additional state bar admissions are a plus)
At least 5-10 years of transactions experience, preferably in the health care sector
Demonstrated ability to lead due diligence, manage timelines, and guide clients through all phases of transactions
Strong drafting and negotiation skills with experience handling complex contracts and documents
Experience advising on regulatory compliance, including Stark, Anti-Kickback, and antitrust considerations
Ability to collaborate with attorneys across the firm to provide seamless client services
