Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine engines and boats to ensure optimal performance
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments effectively during repairs
Diagnose mechanical issues and provide accurate solutions in a timely manner
Assist customers with inquiries regarding boat maintenance and repairs, enhancing their experience
Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical support during the sales process
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols
Keep detailed records of maintenance work performed on each vessel
Stay updated on the latest marine technology and repair techniques

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Marine Technician certification(s) is a plus. Manufacturer certification (Boat or Engine)
Current & valid driver's license
Solid understanding of marine systems, marine tools and diagnostic equipment preferred
Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in the marine industry
Yamaha certification that is up to date within 2 years
Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients
Ability to weld and work with sheet metal is advantageous but not mandatory
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and vehicle maintenance practices
Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Basic understanding of sales processes related to vehicle maintenance is a plus
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
