Responsibilities

Participate primarily in vascular angiography and interventions under the direction of the Vascular Surgeons following hospital policies and procedures

Greet patients, explain procedures, position patients and set proper exposure factors in order to obtain the required quality radiograph maintaining radiation safety

Responsible for daily operation of radiology equipment and QA in the Heart and Vascular Institute

Possess the knowledge base to operate imaging equipment efficiently and effectively in order to obtain quality studies and report any malfunctions of equipment to their supervisor

Have a working knowledge of procedure inventory and supplies

Responsible for processing images and inputting information into required information systems for documentation and billing purposes

Work in collaboration with nursing staff to care for patients in the Heart and Vascular Institute
