Web Designer
The City of New York's Mayor's Office of Contract Services (MOCS) is seeking a Web Designer to enhance and manage their internal and external websites. This role involves collaborating on digital initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting website redesign efforts.

Responsibilities
Strategize, execute, oversee, evaluate, and enhance MOCS’ internal and external websites
Aid in website redesign initiatives, ensuring alignment with the agency’s branding, strategy, and standards
Address and resolve all website-related issues
Perform content audits to remove redundant or duplicate information
Support the technical development of new learning materials and edit existing media resources
Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and accessibility guidelines
Collaborate with team members on various digital initiatives
Assist in developing and maintaining trackers and the internal unit/division SharePoint site as required
Qualification
Required
Graduation from an accredited college with a baccalaureate degree
Graduation from an accredited community college plus two years of experience with administrative, analytic, coordinative, supervisory or liaison responsibilities
A four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent plus four years of experience as described in '2' above
A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
A degree in Communications, Web Design, Graphic Design, or a related field
Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and collaborate effectively within a diverse environment, engaging with various personalities and levels of seniority
Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
Simplify complex information, present findings, and offer actionable recommendations
Upload & Update webpages/website content and review, strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities
Knowledge of web analytics and SEO
Exceptional time management skills and the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
2+ years as a Webmaster or Web Developer
Proficient in HTML/CSS, XML
Proficient in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel
Programming experience in HTML5 is an advantage
Address user complaints skills
