The 10-Week Summer Internship program offers hands-on experience in the Community Impact department, where interns will assist with community outreach, events, and fundraising initiatives while building valuable relationships within the organization.

Responsibilities

Exemplifying our Padres Core Values/Mission Statement: Communication and Collaboration, Progress and Innovation, Accountability and Integrity, and Effort and Results, through building meaningful connections with a diverse fan base and serving as impactful leaders in the San Diego community
Shadow the Community Impact Department members and train in a variety of tasks
Assist with Padres Foundation fundraisers including 5050 Raffle, Padres Summer Camps, Favorite Things Baskets, Hats Off Their Heads, and Dinner on the Diamond
Assist with Padres events and outreach in the community including player appearances, alumni-military softball game, and Padres Volunteer Team events
Support the Community Impact Department with pregame activities and ceremonies, donation request fulfillment, manage the Community Impact inbox, and other administrative duties
Attend Padres community events and activations, volunteer opportunities, player appearances, etc
Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualification

Microsoft OfficeCommunication skillsTeamworkOrganizational skillsBilingual (English/Spanish)

Required

Current college/university student who has completed Sophomore or Junior year by June 2026 OR current graduate student
Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of employment
Must be available mid-June 2026 through mid-August 2026
Able to work during Padres home games and other special events as needed, which may include weekends and evenings
Minimum physical requirements: able to travel to and gain access to various areas of the ballpark for prolonged periods of time during games and events; able to lift and transport up to 25 pounds
As a condition of employment, you must successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check
Advanced computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc., and knowledge of basic office equipment, including telephone, fax, copier, etc
Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and effectively work well with others in a collaborative, respectful manner
Strong sense of teamwork; able to create and maintain positive relationships within organization with a wide variety of co-workers
Exceptional organizational skills, with ability to follow directions and meet established deadlines
Maintain professional demeanor with a high degree of discretion, integrity, and accountability
Maintain consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance

Preferred

Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
