Responsibilities
Identify and sort different types of metal materials (e.g., aluminum, copper, brass, stainless steel, steel, etc.) based on grade
Inspect incoming materials to ensure they meet company and customer specifications
Operate basic hand tools, magnets, and testing equipment to determine metal type and quality
Place graded materials in designated bins, containers, or storage areas
Assist the equipment operators in loading/unloading materials
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Report any unsafe conditions, damaged materials, or equipment malfunctions to management
Qualification
Required
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience: Previous experience in recycling, scrap metal, or warehouse operations is a plus
