Responsibilities

Lead the full lifecycle of capital projects, including concept, design, construction, commissioning, and validation phases
Manage multiple projects, typically >$1M USD, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and cost parameters
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
Apply robust risk management and mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes
Oversee contractor and supplier selection, negotiation, and performance management
Ensure full compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, validation, EHS, and finance teams to align project objectives with site priorities
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and project team members
Identify and implement process improvements and innovation in capital project execution

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related field)
10+ years of experience managing capital projects in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environment
Proven ability to lead large-scale engineering projects and manage cross-functional teams
Strong understanding of GMP, safety, and compliance requirements
Excellent project management, budgeting, and risk assessment skills
Effective communicator with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Preferred

advanced degree preferred
PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred
