Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring complex substation projects are tested and commissioned in accordance with industry and Eversource standards with a focus on safety and maintaining system reliability
Responsible for assisting in the development of standards and procedures for the test and commissioning of substation projects
Collaborates with Engineers within Engineering to ensure consistency and teamwork
Accountable for root-cause analysis, development and implementation of corrective actions relating to project commissioning
Collaborates with other engineers within Engineering to ensure consistency and teamwork
Manages, coaches, develops and reviews performance of engineers and other staff
Supervises, administratively and/or functionally, engineers and other direct reports, as assigned
Responsible for the development and management of a preventive maintenance optimization program

Required

Must have the ability to communicate effectively, use computers effectively, and write clearly/concisely
Requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related discipline
In addition to bachelor's degree, minimum of five (5) years in utility distribution/transmission engineering
Valid CT/MA/NH driver's license
Work is performed in both office and utility substation environments which requires sitting, standing, walking and climbing stairs
Must be available to work emergency storm assignment as required
Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary

Preferred

Substation Engineering, Power Systems, or related electric utility experience is highly preferred
Substation equipment testing and/or commissioning is highly preferred
