Responsibilities

Program and optimize robotic systems, including Fanuc robots, for various paint applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing production lines
Conduct testing and validation of robotic systems to ensure performance meets quality and safety standards
Troubleshoot and debug robotic systems, identifying and resolving technical issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in robotic paint applications, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation
Provide technical support and training to production staff on the operation and maintenance of robotic systems
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source and evaluate robotic equipment and components, ensuring compatibility and reliability
Participate in new product development projects, providing expertise on robotic paint applications and contributing to design reviews and feasibility studies
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards governing robotic systems and paint processes
Oversee the setup, calibration, and maintenance of painting equipment and systems
Conduct comprehensive analyses of paint defects, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to uphold product integrity
Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing paint consumption, minimizing waste, and enhancing environmental sustainability

Required

Bachelor's degree
At least 8 years of product manufacturing experience
At least 1 year lead experience
OR
Master's degree
At least 6 years of product manufacturing experience
At least 1 year lead experience
OR
At least 10 years of product manufacturing experience
At least 1 year lead experience
Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Preferred

Experience with advanced robotic programming languages and tools (Robo-Guide)
Familiarity with automation technologies and integration with robotic systems
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Experience with simulation software for robotic systems (Paint pro)
Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems used in robotic applications
In-depth knowledge of Piggable systems related to color change processes, with a demonstrated ability to implement innovative solutions
Desirable knowledge in Allen Bradley PLC
